CT Man Threatens Gas Sation Employee With Knife, Police Say

A 28-year-old Connecticut man was charged with threatening after pulling a knife on a gas station employee who attempted to stop him from allegedly harassing customers.

New Haven County resident Robert Gulyban, of New Haven, was detained on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Galaxy Fuel at 180 New Haven Ave., in Milford.

On Wednesday Milford Police officers responded to Galaxy Fuel for a threatening complaint. 

The victim said Gulyban was bothering customers at the gas pumps. The victim asked Gulyban to leave and he began to argue and pulled a knife out and threatened him, police said.

Gulyban fled and was detained on Cherry Street, police said. He was identified by the victim and taken into custody.

He was charged with:

  • Breach of peace
  • Threatening
  • Criminal trespass

He was released on a promise to appear note.
